Painter. Mother. Seeker.
Born in London in 1949, she is British and Irish. Patricia lives in Switzerland and loves to paint in southern Europe.
Working with oil on canvas, as well as ink, Patricia’s father and teacher is the renowned Trinidadian painter Patrick Betaudier (1928-2008) founder of the Atelier Neo Medici. From him, Patricia learned the techniques of masters like Carvaggio and Rembrandt.
Whilst her training is highly classical, Patricia has developed her own unique technique. Thematically her work is in the Art Fantastique tradition, other visionary painters include Hieronymus Bosch (1450–1516) and Peter Birkhäuser (1911-1926).
Patricia takes inspiration from the most vivid of her dreams to explore the inner world and the unconscious.
